iii GUYZ fr. SEATTLE - 3 x 3 (2002) Track Listing: 1. 2 Hott 4 Vinyl
Maddt as Cap'n Grunge Review: "For his numerous studio albums and house-rocking live performances, the ubiquitous Timb has won accolades as one of south Florida's preeminent musical entertainers. Despite (or perhaps because of) all of his success as a solo artist, few are aware of Timb's long history as the partner of Maddt Kimmel in the recording duo known enigmatically as iii GUYZ fr. SEATTLE. The latest offering from the iii GUYZ is an addictive genre jumper of a disc entitled "3x3". From its flirtation with old skool rap with "2 Hott 4 Vinyl", to the warbling truck-stop tones of "18 Wheelz", to the relentlessly frantic "Memoirs", every sidelong leap against the boundaries of easy categorization is delivered with an inescapable warmth and intoxicating charisma. Running the gamut from poignant to ridiculous, the iii GUYZ manage to touch on subject matter for every taste, arcing all the way from the doldrums of alcoholism to the repercussions of drinking Mexican water. With its solidly diverse collection of tracks performed to such artful perfection, "3x3" is destined to become your favorite mix CD that isn't." -Marcus Alexander Hart, misinformer.com Timb was voted "Best Solo Musician of 2004" by New Times Broward-Palm Beach http://www.newtimesbpb.com/bestof/2004/bestarts/bestart10.html This CD is home-crafted in classic "do-it-yourself" style by the artist. Each 3x3 CD comes in a sleek and attractive slimline case with single card fold-over cover. Reverse side of cover features track listing and liner notes. « View Item Details » |

Timb - Commercially Viable (2003) Track Listing: 1. emo Review: "Timb's 5th studio release sees a return to musical form as Timb expands his musical horizons into uncharted genre territory. Reggae, new wave, and irish drinking are just a few of the many genres that are brought to the forefront on this extremely diverse effort. Timb's cover of "Baby Got Back" sounds a bit like Ministry had decided to cover the classic Sir Mix-A-Lot booty anthem, and has gotten recent club play in NYC. Perhaps not as humor-heavy as its predecessor, "The Patriotic Album", but musically, far superior." -Auxiliary, May 2003 Timb was voted "Best Solo Musician of 2004" by New Times Broward-Palm Beach http://www.newtimesbpb.com/bestof/2004/bestarts/bestart10.html All Timb CDs are all home-crafted in classic "do-it-yourself" style by the artist. Timb - Enjoy (2006) "Timb is truly the Swiss Army Knife of musicians. He not only runs the recording gamut through every genre from hip-hop to new wave to industrial to acoustic, but he does it so seamlessly that it's hard to believe he is entirely self-trained. In fact, Timb is renowned for his “Do it yourself” mantra, be it for recording, promotion, or sexual stimulation. But that is not to say that Timb is reclusive. Far from it. He is a south Florida club favorite, and New Times Broward Palm Beach's pick for Best Solo Musician of the Year in 2004. In addition to his nine solo albums, Timb has also contributed his musical know-how to numerous side projects, including the hypnotic space-rock lullabies of Los Torsos and the genre-jumping mayhem of iii Guyz fr. Seattle. Drawing influence from sources as diverse as David Bowie, They Might Be Giants, and Roger Miller, Timb has emerged a true master of style parody. His chameleonic riffs can trick your ears into thinking that you're listening to Metallica, the Smashing Pumpkins, the B-52s, and more. And that's all in a single set. Timb's latest album is an acoustic studio retrospective of fifteen of his greatest hits. The name of the album is Enjoy, and that's not a request. It's a promise." -Marcus Alexander Hart
The latest effort by singer songwriter Timb sees a dramatic shift in focus away from the major arranging of his last album Social Anxiety back to his punky, folky singer-songwriter roots. On Enjoy, the eclectic songwriter trades in his distortion pedal and drum machines for bare-bones acoustic effect. The stripped-down format of Enjoy reveals the heart and humor that is so exemplary of Timb's songcraft. 15 time-tested crowd-pleasers are brought into the modern day standard with crisp, clear studio production, clever arrangements, tight musicianship and a renewed sense of inspiration that reinvents these ubiquitous songs. Enjoy is a musical celebration that is sure to become one of the most cherished albums in your collection! For more about Timb, please visit TimbRocks.com « View Item Details » |

Timb - Fitness Track Listing: 1. caffeine Review: "Timb's 6th LP was meant to be a double album, but was cut short under the pressure of the deadline. The best songs from both of those prospective albums landed on "Fitness"."Fitness" seems to play sort of like a "greatest hits". Many of Timb's most popular live songs evolved from this record. Timb picks out Dead Kennedys, Aerosmith, Guns N Roses, and System of a Down on this record for tribute and a good mocking. Timb even reinvents the Chili Peppers' "I Could Have Lied" into an eerie, electronic hybrid. The highlight is probably the Bowie-esque "Love on Mars", a melodic tale of a dying love told in a dynamic vocal range. The time spent in the studio was well-invested. This is probably the most accessible Timb record of them all." -Auxiliary, Oct 2003 Timb was voted "Best Solo Musician of 2004" by New Times Broward-Palm Beach http://www.newtimesbpb.com/bestof/2004/bestarts/bestart10.html All Timb CDs are all home-crafted in classic "do-it-yourself" style by the artist. Timb - The Patriotic Album Track Listing: 1. the star spangled banner (live in NYC 9-11-02) Review: "In the wake of 9-11 and the angry backlash that came with the Bush administration and their hidden agendas, Timb released "The Patriotic Album", actually on the one-year anniversary of 9-11 in 2002. Timb is up to his old tricks and despite the sarcastic cover and seeming theme of the album, only a few of the songs actually have any political signifigance. The instant stand-out is certainly "Patriotic T-Shirt" (think Tim McGraw and Bruce Springsteen style-parody), a balls-out, redneck anthem of racial ignorance and stereotyping. Timb also takes a stab at Rage Against the Machine on "Blue Vs. Grey", a song about the horrors of the Civil War." Honestly solid from beginning to end without a weak song to be found. The album concludes with "Bicycle Seat", a pimped-out, falsetto, Prince-esque "lay you down" groove." -Auxiliary, Sept 2002 Timb was voted "Best Solo Musician of 2004" by New Times Broward-Palm Beach http://www.newtimesbpb.com/bestof/2004/bestarts/bestart10.html All Timb CDs are all home-crafted in classic "do-it-yourself" style by the artist.
